Congrats Giants and a new paint!

First, I would like to say Congratulations to The New York Giants for winning Super Bowl XLVI!  It was an great game with an exciting ending!  Sorry to all you Pats fans, but I was cheering for the Giants along with about 90% of Indianapolis!  How can you not, when it’s Peyton’s little brother?
As the Sunday paper said, “It’s a matchup fraught with soap-opera drama: Peyton Manning’s decade-long chief rival, Tom Brady vs. Payton’s kid brother, Eli Manning, at Lucas Oil Stadium, aka, “The House That Peyton Built.”
Nothing like your own brother winning the Super Bowl in your stadium.  I am sure the Manning family is beyond words right now!  Congrats Eli and The Giants.

Then I would like to say Congrats and Kudos to the city of Indianapolis for hosting such a FABULOUS event!  I am lucky enough to live right here in Indy and was able to experience the events first hand.  The city did an AMAZING job!  What an exciting couple of weeks! However, it leaves you kind of melancholy today….what now?
Well…it’s time to share with you what I mentioned in my post last Monday, but at the time wasn’t ready to completely let the cat out of the bag!  Pam at From My Porch to Yours, had left a comment on my blog so I decided to check her out. While reading through her blog, she mentioned a new Chalk & Clay Paint!
What?
Another paint…Chalk Like Paint!
Why hadn’t I heard about this?
So I immediately, pulled up another tab and Google it!
With in about 5 minutes, I ordered my first can.
The paint arrived on my front door step 2 days later, but we had spent the entire day at the Children’s Museum with my daughter and then she had dance class that night, so I didn’t get the package until about 8 pm that night. After we put my daughter to bed around 8:30 that night; down the stairs I went to start a project!
Now, I know most of you would have started some big grand project, but lets face it, it was really almost 9pm before I got started and I have an almost 3 year old that would be up fairly early that I would have to tend to.  I happen to be one of those people that needs NO less than 7 hours of sleep or I am worthless and CRANKY!  So starting a large project at 9pm and being up til all hours of the night was not an option.  So I painted some picture frames just to try the paint…because I couldn’t wait!  I was THRILLED!!! with the results.
Completely 100% Green.  NO Voc’s, NO ….I mean NO odor, and completely NON-Toxic!
The ingredients were even printed on the can!!!  So after I tested the product on wood, metal and plastic!  I was sold!
Onto bigger and better.  I had a chest of drawers and night stand that I was custom painting for a friend of mine. This was the perfect paint for the job!
Here is a before of her dresser! Still in great shape, she was just ready for a change!
Here is the dresser and night stand after 2 coats of Paint and 2 coats of wax!

So are you ready to hear what I used????

CeCe Caldwell’s Chalk & Clay Paint!
So now you are asking how is this different from Annie Sloan Chalk Paint?
That will be another post! So stay tuned.
For now….The colors are different and can be viewed HERE.
If you would like to order a can…That can be done through Chantelle at Bungalow 47!  She is great and will be happy to help anyway she can!
So what are you waiting for?  Go order a can and try it for yourself!  I promise you won’t be disappointed!
