It’s a LIFE TIME supply!

Today I received two packages in the mail.
One, I was expecting.
The other, I was not.
So I quickly turned it over to see who it was from.
My first assumption before doing this, was that my husband had ordered something.
To my surprise it was from my Aunt in Kansas City.
I began to ponder what was in the package.
Christmas…still two months away.
Birthdays are in March.
Anniversary… that’s in March too!
What on earth was she sending me?
It’s heavy too!
Well the suspense was going to have to wait a bit longer.
I had just picked up my daughter from school and needed to get her down for her nap.
As soon as I put her down, I raced back down the stairs
(kind of like a kid on Christmas morning….how old are we?)
Never mind the fact that is was 2pm, I hadn’t eaten all day (didn’t have time for breakfast and no time for lunch at work)  and I was starting to feel shaky and a bit nauseous.
I had to go to the bathroom so bad it hurt.
You know…the kind where you are doing a dance you have to go so bad.
I grabbed a pair of scissors and then realized it had a pull tab.
I ripped it back and pulled down the flap.
It was stuffed with plastic grocery bags?
So I turned the box slightly downward and gave it a shake.
OMG!
I could not believe what was rolling out of this Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate box….
A LIFE TIME supply of Russell Stover Coconut Nests!
I spent the next 5 minutes laughing hysterically all while running to the bathroom so I didn’t pee my pants!
(note to self:  next time go to the bathroom FIRST)
About a year ago, I had written a blog (Childhood Memory Ruined) about my frustration of not being able to get coconut nests here in Indiana, as well as the ridiculous answer that I got back from Russell Stover.
I can’t remember if she read the post and then we talked
or if we talked and then she read the post.
None the less…I am assuming this is why this gargantuan box of nest showed up at my door.
The coconut nest is one of my very favorite treats from my childhood.
We don’t have Russell Stover stores on every corner like they do in Kansas City (their headquarters).  So needless to say, you don’t find them all that often. When you do, it’s usually only around Easter time and they are few and far between.
Well, Russell Stover….I don’t need you!
I have my Aunt!
I’m not sure if I should be thanking her or cursing at her for all the weight I am going to gain!
Yes there are still nests in the box …
and yes I ate one BEFORE I ate my lunch!
Minus the eggs (aka, jelly beans)
Dear Aunt,
If you are reading this…should I send you the bill for weight watchers?  Because if I eat all of these, I will need to go!
Love you! Thanks for thinking of me! 🙂
